Conformation Shows   We enjoy competing in the AKC Conformation ring.  We like to see who is there, which of their Borzoi they brought, and, of course, winning is always nice, too.  To learn more about this sport go to AKC's website at http://www.akc.org/events/conformation.

Lure Coursing    Lure coursing is the performance sport of sighthounds chasing "bunnies" (plastic bags) for fun and titles.  There are 2 organizations in the US that offer titles in this sport.  They are AKC and ASFA.   You can see some great photographs of this sport at Sighthound Imaging.

LGRA - Straight Racing   Boy, do my Borzoi LOVE this sport!  They get to chase a "Jack-A-Lure" (a furry lure with a tail and "squaker") 200+ yards.  For non-whippet sighthounds, this sport is governed by the Large Gazehound Racing Association.

NOTRA - Oval Track Racing   There is no betting in this amateur sport for sighthounds.  They chase the "bunny" (plastic bags) around an oval track of 270 or more yards.  For all sighthound breeds, this sport is governed by the National Oval Track Racing Association.

Obedience   Though we do not compete in this sport, we all enjoy the bond that it gives us, Borzoi to human.  Everyone who has a canine should take obedience classes with their four legged friend.
